Who is playing on the right in a formation that Farke’s team haven’t used before.

I would prefer a 433 if we are changing things up - Or a 4231, which is what we played last season for the most part, but the right side is still a problem if you are dispensing with Aaronson, unless Willy is fit

Your suggested formation means either dropping one of Stach or Longstaff to accommodate a right sided player or sticking a square peg in a round hole on the right.

Best to keep a solid shape as we have been doing for the most part this season and look to change it in the last 20 if we are looking for a winner or need a goal for a result.

So you are expecting him to create goals out of nothing ?

We all know he isn’t a 20 goal a season striker. 10 from him might be enough. He has been one of the positives for me. He will get goals but if we fall behind then the chances are less likely simply because a lot of the opposition will sit deep, squeeze the space and look to hit us on the counter. We do not have a player who can create something out of nothing. We have fallen behind a lot so far.

We signed the only player who's conversion rate is worse than Bamford's , in fact DCL is the worst in the premier league in the years since he first played, I've no idea what he gets paid an insane amount of money for but it sure as hell isn't goals because he's never been a goalscorer, I understand folk saying that he gives so much more but on his wages and in his position it's goals that count, and saying ya but he doesn't get the service.....really? he constantly misses and has missed so many already this season

dcl reminds me of rashford
he had his purple patch about 2 seasons ago, and this then has done literally nothing
i remember seeing some cringe modelling photo of him in a dress holding a handbag, which made me lose all respect for him

Rashford playing well for Barca this season, he's miles ahead in quality from DCL

Playing well every now and then is all very well. The test of quality is consistency - that is what sorts out the good (sometimes) players to the classy players that can turn it on mote often than not.

Incidentally. DCL in that regard has done nothing of note anywhere he's played to be blunt

Rashford's issue is not with quality or consistancy. It's he runs his mouth a little too much and that affects a few things. In Spain he's a complimentary piece and that's helping too..

DCL played fairly well on Saturday it was the ones around him who let the side down with their poor finishing or lack of attention to detail when defending.

A bit unfair!

I doubt we'd have eight points on the board without Calvert-Lewin, more like six points.

Sometimes I wonder if several on here watches our games, mate.

Others openly admit, they didn't see a game & then lay into certain players claiming they are crap!

I haven’t missed a game so far and I still don’t get it, yes he can hold the ball better, better header of the ball but he’s scored one goal in 6 games ( on course for 6/7 goals this season ) and missed a few good chances. He’s a striker, he should be scoring goals as well as holding the ball up, keeping possession etc not instead of.
Against the likes of City, Pool, Arsenal it’s probably wiser starting with DCL but against the likes of Burnley, Wolves, West Ham etc where we need goals we need to find a way to use Piroe who’s a proven goal scorer. I know who I’d trust more in a one on one with the keeper, converting tap ins, penalties etc and it ain’t DCL.

You can probably hear the boos from Morley when the knee is taken at ER.

Political issues & racial gestures shouldn't be happening at sports events.

We haven't got a complete striker who can do all those aspects in their game, Cussie.

Piroe missed one at Burnley.

I have to admit, I wouldn't want to see DCL stepping up to take a penalty.

Can someone roll Calvert-Lewin & Piroe into one?

If that was the case, DCL would have cost us £50m+.

DCL is a decent target man who puts himself about and can hold up the ball but it is beginning to look like he cannot hit a barn from ten yard let alone a barn door.
