You can put up all sorts of reasons and make all sorts of excuses - like he was isolated, had no service, there was no support around him etc. But just stop and smell the coffee. Neither of those two has the look of a striker that is going to get a goal in open play ever again. Whatever the aim or the plan in playing either of those two - it ain't working nor is it looking remotely likely to. We are utterly toothless up front. Jury is out on whether they are good enough to play in the Premiership for Leeds United. Daniel Farke is staring down the barrel as a result

Those responsible for taking a punt on these two freebies should take a good look at themselves as it is backfiring spectacularly! !

Add to the striker problems, we have Gnonto and James on the missing list for a variety of reasons. Whenever they are present this season they are a shadow of the players that we have seen in the recent past. Jury is out on whether they are good enough to play in the Premiership at the moment.

So there are 4 players of the First Team squad with a huge question mark against them in my book
Only 4 ? You must be in a very generous mood after yesterday.

I say 4 because they have been a complete "no show" for me all season. There is nothing outstanding in any of the others but you have to make allowances foir it being early in a stop start season because of the damned International Yawn Breaks.

There's been an opinion that Blyton are a struggling side this season and (were) in a rut. Well if that is the case I don't know what that makes us. It was an ordinary Championship team away to a decent Premiership yesterday.

Embarassing that we even allowed Blyton play at walking pace at times. The scorline flattered us TBH

Depends if it's just tight or a full blown strain. Who starts if DCL doesn't v the Trees

Interesting graphic this which does show how hard it is for our strikers.

We have really slow buildup.

And it's also not particularly direct.

So defenses always have time to be set.

But interestingly teams just hold in midfield vs us and we can't get through because we won't go long (we have more touches in midfield and defence than basically any other team) and aren't good enough technically or coaching wise to pass through.

How does DF fix this?

Does he feel at home because we are another relegation threatened team he doesn't score goals for?

Goodness me! I only saw the first few minutes of this clip and it struck me as the epitome of a train crash interview. Sometimes it is just best to stay stum, keep your head down and get on with your job.

In a nutshell - I was in a rut and struggling at Everton and needed a new challenge. So I am dead pleased to be here at Leeds in a rut and struggling ..................

Extortionate amounts of money for being average.
Get him scoring & its the epitome of polishing a turd.

The interview would hold water if it was broadcast after DCL manages to make a positive impression at Leeds United and scores a goal or two - if indeed he is ever going to find the net in a Leeds shirt.

At the present time he looks and sounds like he is having a giraffe!

A big mistake taking fans for mugs

The day we signed him I got text messages from 3 different Everton fans all laughing and saying they were delighted they had finally got rid of him, I already knew he was useless in front of goal and was very disappointed we actually signed him, but having watched him with us it's clear his only strength is in the air, he runs with the ball like someone about to fall over and his shooting is terrible, either scuffs or skies it everytime

DCL has already scored a magnificent headed goal at Wolves.

I think it was the last game where it bounced off his shoulder when scoring was actually easier. Also another header in that game which was similar.
Some disconnect between his brain & his forehead

That's better. ;-)

Hopefully DCL scores a few more, or else we are in the mire!
