Hopefully DCL scores a few more, or else we are in the mire!
He needs to score one in every three games from here to come close to being value. That would give him 10 on the season

Lest not forget the reason Jospeh was dropped was not scoring even though he was doing everything else well.

True, though DCL is playing well without much support from his teammates, who should be picking up the second ball after Calvert-Lewin has won an aerial challenge.

To be fair to all our centre forwards - DCL, Nmecha and poor old Piroe - our play in the opposition half has been absolutely dire and, it seems in the last 3 games, we are regressing as we are showing no ability to do anything positive with the ball. Whoever plays at centre forward has to scap and scratch about for the ball and if he does win it there is no support around him. There is zero creativity or anything that tthe lad up front can feed off or have a chance of a strike at goal. All season it has never been the case that chances are being created and our forwards are profligate

It is a mess but the onus is on Daniel Farke to somehow solve the problem. There does not seem to be any obvious solution. Looks like we are in the poo at the moment

Our problem last few matches is Ampadu/Stach/Longstaff and Aaronson in the same team. 4 players basically one position. None of those 4 are capable of playing off a 9, sitting too deep. Tanaka gives us that more than the other four but he's not settled into the prem yet

Not only cannot score but now actually manages to prevent us scoring. The guy is a disaster - if you had looked at the Everton fanzine at the time they were laughing their socks off when we signed him. I never thought I would say this but I would much prefer Bamford back, especially as DCL is apparently on £50k a week more.

Not much difference in salary. Paddy's salary would have reverted to 90k a week when we got promotion. DCL is on 100k assuming reports are true

But how could we get rid? He's on a contract and no club would buy him anyway,...I think we're stuck with him. I just hope he finds is shooting boots sooner rather than later.

What genius offered him a three year contract with his history?

He should be sacked to cover half a week of DCL’s wages.

Everton are not missing DCL
Dewsbury Hall just scored a stream
What has DCL done apart from a purple patch for Everton a few seasons ago?!

I watched the replay of him STOPPING US SCORING from 2 angles
If DCL was not there, the ball goes in and we equalise
If not for DCL we would still be in the carabo cup
Honestly he is like a meslier/ bamford/ andy caroll at their worst, all in one..

Can't see him scoring another goal for us after that effort that went in off his shoulder against Woolyhamton TBH

Not sure it would cover it.

He's on huge wages.

Graham confirmed this in the summer saying his wages were very very large and despite being a free transfer it wasn't a cheap deal.

He's on starting Premier league striker wages of likely over £100,000 a week plus many millions in signing on fee (he rejected £130,000 at Everton)

Lord knows what "data" highlighted the non scoring, injury prone, pretty bang average at best DCL to be our main striker.

I prefer Nmecha, atleast he's a threat.

It's like Groundhog day at Leeds Utd....always, always the same irrational, ridiculous, underwhelming, underachieving, injury prone signings. What is it about this club and its owners??

Probably his best performance by a mile.

Was very physical, held the ball up well and did well in the air.

Worked hard and some nice touches.

And crucially scored a goal, wasn't a brilliant technical goal more one about hard work and persistence, but was what was required.

No surprise imo it took a formation change which meant he wasn't so isolated and more direct service for it to work.

Good performance, hopefully something to build on.

I do hope that we start to use a 10 or a second striker more. Having 3 in midfield as midfielders is leaving our striker isolated, like you say. Even if it is Aaronsen in the 10 at least it is someone to be close enough to get possession and make it harder for the opposition.
