Tbf can see it from both sides.

Every manager wants newer players, better players to make their job easier.

But from an ownership pov DF has been very very well backed here.

He certainly can't claim he hasn't overall and whilst fans don't want to hear it 2 of the biggest budgets in Championship history will impact your 3 year cycle.

Farke here on transfers

Looking to forward just spaaking about football again to be honest. January always tricky, just limited number of options.

Nomrally its a good sign if you don't do much across January, just adjustments of plans. If you have to do a lot, you have to repair from the summer.

Harrison we let go as was his wish and he was very professional. Proactively sent Harry Gray out on loan, perfect for him.

Woth have added Facundo with a loan. Little adjustments. From this point we move on. We have achieved with these players 26 points and progressed in the FA Cup. Quite confident we can finish the job in the Premier League. I concentrate my group and give them their backing




On striker

Won't soeak about rumours or special players or detials. How would my squad players feel if I said I had wnated another sttiker or CB or winger.

It would be fooslish to speak about this. My responsiblity to speak with our board about potential targets. This us what what we have done. ot type of manager to think about myself. I need to adapt to reality of what is possible. If we identify someone who can make us better, up to other people if it is affordable.

We have limited resources. I totally accept we have to work with that and be sustainable. I run the sport but I am not the master of finances.




The picture

Fans don't need to be calmed down. Don't get the feeling in this transfer window we got weaker. I believe in this squad we can stay up. A point e rgame average - we need 12 more points - three wins and three draws.

Six posotives results out of last 14 gamedays. A positive results is always a win or a draw.





Dyche relationship

Sean has a proven record on Premier League level. Gave lots of stability on Premier League level. His team has lots of quality and qualified for Europe last season.

They very foten have clean sheets or conceded just one goal. So I expect a tight game where it will be difficult to create chances so we have to be on it. We will need our supporters.




Being backed

My egenral understanding of my role is I've signed a contract here to serve. It;s not like the club has to serve me or back me. Of couse would prefer unlimited resources and wo ahetevr we want and then would have spent more.

But important that we ate all together, not me vs the board. Key people in the board. Important that key figures have their say and agree what ti do and not do - it's what I think has to work.

I adapt to the reality. I am here to back the club.




Not using resources in last days

I always speak about profiles then it doesn't make sense to go for a comletely different profile in the end of the window. My job is to identify what the team needs and speak about potential players. Very clear internally about this. Now its about backing my players. Not crying for any sympathy. Don;t need any excuses.





Facundo Buonanotte

I think my word were we were not weaker. He is a fantastic young guy with lots of potential. He's not played much football, for that if you bring him in you can't expect him to straight away to come in. If youbhave limited resources, you have to be creative, you have to be there and there with a loan. Up to him to step through the door. If he doesn't then we haven't wated any money so it's not a risk. He has to show good performances





Team news

Good to have James is back. No guaranteed in matchday squad. We have two more days and we will see.

We have some mixed news. Jaka Bijol is bakc in team training today, will have to see how body reacts. Justin back in team training and James is making progress.

Nmecha not in team training yet. Unlikely he will make it but not too far away. Stach struggling with hip problems after game time, looks likely to miss game and also Chelsea - out 10-14 days.





Discussing transfer suggestions from board

Up to me run the football and get the feeling of what the club needs. Always fine margins, not upsetting someone who is in the first place in a role.

No my mindset stayed the same, I did not change anything. Of course things can come up - eg with Jack Harrison - but my mindset overall did not change much [from the start].





On any exits with other European window open

I think it us unlikely, can't rule out anything. Until today no one has knocked on my door.




Convincing a player to come in as a back up

Important to be honest with the player. I like to be 100% open with my players. Will never say soemone is always my main my - easier to say that but this is nto the way I work.




Centre-back area and depth

I'm not anxious. I am confident to be capable with this group. We have Ampadu in emergency. Reason why didn't allow Cresswell to go out, we don't have too any CBs. We were all very impressed with what Alfie has done - earlier in the window miught have said we do need another one but he has impressed.
