Give Farke a lot of credit. A lot of people, myself included, were calling for him to be sacked. And then he changed the set up. And maybe he listened to people on the outside, but he did it. And we ended up unbeaten in December. And the team has absolutely stabilized. It was also VERY clear that he never lost the side!

Dyche saying how poor it was from them to concede the first goal to a ball over the top. Failing to grasp how the way we play made it happen as nobody knew who to mark a rightback popping up on the left side of the penalty area. Poor Dyche probably saw our line-up as 532 and thought our players would all stay in those positions!

Have just seen a replay of that late goal we conceded. Bijol would probably have dealt with that as our best CB in terms of dealing with aerial threats. The cross came from our left....

This was an important win!!!

He changed the formation and allowed the players to have even more freedom, almost Bielsa-like freedom. I think the 532, especially with Aaronsen as the 8, allows us so much flexibility that we can surprise teams. The first goal our right back making a run to be in the left wing/striker position unmarked. Second goal our centreback playing 1-2s on the edge of the opposition box and then driving into the box.
People who say it is just down to the formation don't give Farke the credit he deserves for the amount of freedom he allows the players to have. Most managers allow a bit of flexibility but this is extraordinary.

Bijol may have done better, I still think we probably concede. It was a very good cross, perfect height for their big guy who suits Dyche's limited way of playing.

Was a general observation.

Last season 7 teams had over 40 points at this stage and this season 5.

The standard is lower, 4th placed Manure wouldn't be top 6 at the same stage.

Just a footballing observation

Could spin that argument on its head by saying the the average standard is higher (Leeds and Sunderland dragging it up for example) and it’s more difficult to win points against the below average teams.

The margin of error for the above average teams has potentially fallen.
I will now reverse spin my head to get back to normal (on average)
