So the Bournemouth game moves back between the Wolves game and the semi final? may as well stay down south that week . I am still speechless after all that drama!

Great penalty - no keeper would have a chance of saving that even if they went early the right way.Orange Box wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2026 7:44 am I was delighted when I saw Pascal walking up. For me he was the best on the field by a country mile. No wonder other clubs are looking at him.

True that!!!wilsdenwhite wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2026 7:19 am I don't think Piroe's miss would've had anything to do with a lack of game time or being low on confidence, if indeed he ever was. Rather it being just one of those things. Players miss penalties, it happens. Will it affect his career or his goalscoring ability going forward? No. Good strikers don't live or die by a penalty miss. It will already be forgotten.
DCL misses a penalty in a previous game the bangs in a couple against Werst Ham.

Should it have even gone to extra time?

Man Citeh always get the "easiest" tie, so was fully expecting them to get Southampton. Tbh, I'm not sure I would want them, as we lost to them only two years ago, and I'd rather be the underdog.

Yep, even the commentators had congratulated him for scoring before he took it. It changed momentum back our way, as WH were always chasing afterwards. I think if he scores, they probably go on to win.

There's an article on the BBC about where the 11 mins came from. It took 3 mins to give a blatant penalty!

I remember watching an interview with the ex rugby league chairman some years ago (cant remember his name but he was in trouble for "playing" with young boys). There was some controversy about how Wigan and Saints always seemed to have a home draw against weaker opposition to which has said that some of balls in the bag were warmed up before the draw took place !!

Apparently not.GreennWhite wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2026 8:27 pm If we were to beat Chelsea and City beat Southampton, then even if we lost to City, with them likely to have got a Europen place due to their league position, as runners up in the cup would we get a european spot ??

I doubt many fans did, thats why they put him up first, to give them a good start, but on this occasion it back fired for them. Thats football for you, nothing is ever guaranteed, even if some fans believe otherwise
He is a quality player and wont be with them next season if they go down.

We never make it easy, do we?! What a game that was, I am still recovering lol. I expected nothing less from LUFC. Seriously, though, thrilled we are through, and I am letting myself dream a bit now...

Hopefully those pens can give him a confidence uplift.GreennWhite wrote: ↑Mon Apr 06, 2026 9:56 am That was probably Pandagirl. DCL must have turned her down for a date from what i can see, she seems to hate him

Perhaps he had second thoughts about ghosting her when he stepped up to take the pen at Palace.
