Feel sorry for Perri myself, do think is a good player in him given time (which he wasn't given).

Not sure this bloke is an improvement from what I've read (reserve judgement of course)

Basically forced out by Frankfurt and we threw him a few extra £ to convince him.

Weird all round imo.

A goalie whose weakest area is stopping goals.

Our persistence especially given the club go on about players only wanted if they want to be here.

Strange but it's something atleast, a squad place filled.
Stop just going of what AI has said - I'm guessing you still haven't watched the video that you posted? I saw no evidence that he was bad at the basics, and to the contrary he actually looked to have good keeper instincts, positioning etc.

And it is those keeper instincts which is what I see lacking in Perri, and as pointed out at the age of 28 I don't think time is a certainity to iron them out. I believe Perri became a keeper late on and for me that shows. Position, reading of the game is just off.

I may be cursing James Trafford now but watch how he is continually moving, little half steps at times, unnoticable unless you watch but so that he is in the right position. By doing that you then make routine saves rather than being a yard too far accross and having to make a full length 'worldie' save or be grasping at thin air as the ball goes past your outstrecthed hand.

Those little movements don't show up in the stats, if anything they probably damge a keeper stats xg wise as the keeper then makes routine saves and the chacnes are marked down cos they look like easy saves - the goalkeeper with poor positional sense makes the same save but by having to dive full length the save looks harder and the xga is marked as higher.

You could probably make a better highlights reel for a keeper like Perri than you could for Trafford but I know which one I'd rather have.

I watched it.

Some ok saves, quite a few pushing into dangerous areas.

Have done the usual checking on what his former fans say, some like him, some don't, consensus basically backs up AI.

Modern keeper stuff, ploddyball, not the most commanding or consistent with his saves.

Still find it an odd one given he clearly didn't want to come regardless.

Good that it is done and we can move on from Perri. Probably the only real bad signing in recent memory (well since Orta left).

Hopefully we won't actually need to see much of Zetterer as it would mean an injury or huge lack of form from Trafford. Would expect Zetterer to play in our domestic cup matches this season and also the european ones next season.

Clearly a photoshopped image too as I believe he was actually in handcuffs at the time of that photo and bawling his eyes out.

Good video he did and good to see the question put to him in relation to his 'unhappiness' at the initial idea of the move - which he explained as basically being surprised that the club had accepted a bid and that he hadn't been expecting to move. Given that he has only had one season there, after moving there for 5m euros, he had likely expected to be staying there, had just got settled into the area, kids into schools etc.

Seems a nice chap and looks like he will fit in well.

I grant you there were a few where he pushed it back into dangerous areas but in the main he was pushing them out of harm's way and also showed good hands to hold plenty of shots which suggests that he isn't just a keeper who pushes everything out.

Starting positions were good and reflexes look good. Would have liked to have seen what he is like on crosses but apart from that I don't have any concerns about him.

I have watched the first interview video, and the behind the scenes on signing video. He comes across as a cheerful, optimistic, uncomplicated guy who is happy to be here.

I would not have been surprised to find a slightly cynical, wary individual but that does not seem to be the case. (Good). This is hardly a unique situation. The game is packed with experienced keepers who know for certain that their No 2 status will severely limit their appearances......and are able to accept this because this exact role extends their career as a highly paid footballer. Michael seems very likeable. Welcome to Leeds United.

Not bothered about him one way or another.

No real season he should play much.

He's small though, 6ft1 is basically midget size for a goalie.

We desperately need a backup goalie, but I don't really care since he won't get much game time anyway.

Clamouring for something we need, then when we get it act as if it is insignificant and unimportant.

just leaving the door open so at a latter date claims can be made that it was a mistake.

Classic Cjay, and now most likely as he has done before he will complain I replied to you instead of him, even though he has asked me to ignore him.

The torture medical. Standing on one leg and bending backwards would have me on my arse... certainly has good balance.

Not much to say really, back up keeper who may never play in the league this season and keepers are impossible to scout via tape. You need whole game video. I'd rather not see him v Chelsea but that's his first opportunity...

4.2M or thereabouts which is absolutely fine but it means we've spent 20M plus on back up goalies over the last couple of seasons.
