Per known reliable Daily Mail source Simon Jones.
Wrexham want Nmecha
He'd be a great signing for them! Would surely score double digits in the Championship. And that would make Keifer Moore their second choice which is perfect for the 34 year old.
I really don't want to lose him as I think he'll help us. But if we are to keep him we need to address his contract situation ASAP.
Dodgy area with Tanaka/Nmecha/Gnonto with the latter 2 wanting more game time! For Gnonto not to be a starter at 22 years old with his quality is worrying. Weird he spat the dummy out 2 years ago but hasn't stepped out of line since! I'd be demanding game time or a transfer myself...

Purley down to personality, his has obviously improved
I always felt with Nmecha that the 2 year deal was almost like a marriage of conveience for both parties but that he'd walk away after the 2 years. He would have proven his fitness and injuries were over, and have good options, and we'd have moved forward sufficiently as a club whereas we'd be looking to sign better.
So if there is genuine interest in him then I guess it all comes down to the potential fee and whether getting the money in is more useful than having him stay for another year. Not really sure though that Nmecha would want to drop down a division though especially given that in a year he would be a free agent and an attractive (cheap) option for prem clubs or clubs accross the continent.

Did you post them because there's something wrong with your brain
I thought he was immense (and Tanaka but get yelled at If I mention that)
He gave the Brentford defenders something they didn't want, someone mobile and willing to pull off them rather than a constant physical battle.
He opened up space, some nice touches, set up our goal and the chance where James fluffed his lines.
He really caused them issues they didn't have before.
He's not the most controlled (someone called him a Temu Georgie), pretty accurate
But when he's on it he's very useful.
Quick, direct, strong, decent technically on his day.
Personally I think he's the most rounded of our attacking options.
Can't do the absolute best skills those players have as well (not as quick as James, not as good in the air as DCL, not as direct as Okafor, doesn't run around as much as BA).
But he's the only one able to do a bit of all of them well.
He's more mobile than DCL, he's a better dribbler than James, he's able to hold onto the ball better than Aaronson, end product is less erratic than Okafor.

I totally agree Cjay. Nmecha battles with huge intensity. He doesnt get enough credit.
I know few agree with me here, but I think we are more dangerous when we have both DCL and Nmecha upfront. We worry defenders far more.
I would rather see the 2 of them start with Aaronson and Okafor coming off the bench.
Wilson is starting to show his ability to distribute the ball intelligently - not clicking yet, but I forecast he is going to be of huge value as the season goes on.

First, I think Cjay had a very good take on Nmecha. And I tend to agree with his thinking on this player. But your point is spot on in my view Malcolm. We need to get back to the 3-5-2 as our base set up. The good teams are running over us in the center of the park. We need more cover there.

Yes agree Paul. Its also causing DCL to have to come back and help in midfield, which he's good at, but then takes away from being in the right place in attack sometimes.
But I thimk it will come right. We are clearly still looking at options and who is best where.
Like I said, what gives me some comfort from our sloppy performance yesterday is that we were playing a very good team. I saw one report saying Brentford looked like Arsenal in the first half.
To therefore come back and take the game to them in the second half is reassuring. Also, for Farke to make some subs at halftime was refreshing!

It is because DCL occupied the centrebacks that Nmecha got space. So without DCL doing the thankless task Nmecha doesn't shine. It clearly doesn't suit Nmecha to do the DCL role but as a second striker, with license to float, he can be very effective - I don't think anyone was disputing that so well done on pointing out what everyone else already knew.

Ah sorry I didn't realise praising a player now just becomes pointing out what everyone can see.
I do apologise.
But no imo it was Nmecha who made the space for DCL who struggled all game till Nmecha came on.
Goal aside DCL was poor because he was exactly what a giant cb like Ajar wants
I thought yes whilst the service wasn't great pre Nmecha he wasn't good when he got it either so we had no platform
He wasn't alone Aaronson was as bad if not worse, neither were able to handle the Brentford defenders.
Was only when Nmecha came on DCL brightened up a bit.
Nmecha handled them better with his movement and technical ability.
DCL just wanted a physical battle which Ajer and Collins were always favourites for as they are both physically larger.
There is a big difference in the way we played second half, which played a part. He had some good moments and also a few bad ones. If we had started with him instead of DCL in the initial formation.I would be very confident that there would have been no difference.
It was the tactics and set up we used in the second half to prevent them controlling the midfield rather than the skill sets of actual players that had the biggest impact.
