This squad is massively short on quality and some teenagers dont fix that so shut up you absolute spin merchant.
He completely ignores that MB has a pecking order and MB himself has said the kids wouldnt play anywhere near as much if it wasnt for injuries.
Mothing to do with MB having faith in them, he had literally no choice.

Honestly - every player loses the ball. Gelhardt did a couple of times when he came on.
How you can attach the blame for their goal on Roberts losing the ball is tenuous and really just a way of pouring out your hatred for the fella.
Kind of thing a 10 year old comes out with.
We lost because we were not clinical enough when we had chances. James as a 9 does not work. For me it has to be him or Harrison and play Gelhardt up top from the start. We all want that because if Bamford was for one would be on the bench. Hard to drop Harrison with 4 goals in last couple of games and then you have a 25 million player- who for me does work hard but should not be playing 9 in a million years. But playing a kid in his place seems to be a step too far for MB.
When Will Gelhardt start a game we are expected to win and be given an opportunity to make himself undroppable ??

As usual Gelhardt doesn't come on until we're behind.

It's fair to say now Rodrigo has been a huge dissapointment and an expensive one at that. I don't think he's been managed that well often playing in an unfamilar role. I think James could well go the same way with his current role in the side, that he's really not suited to. There's also not forgetting Costa another costly mistake.Scoobychief wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 5:16 pm 2 weeks off and 1 week in transfer window left. Ummm let's see who comes in because Roberts, rodrigo, klich all defo need replacing and Daniel James what a waste of 30m. Not worth 5m of anyone money.

Re: Leeds Utd v Newcastle Utd Match Thread - Rodrigo starts, Joffy on the bench
We looked very good in the first half. The second was more even and once again our lack of a goal scorer came back to haunt us.
Did VAR check their goal? Looked very close to offside to me.
Putting Roberts on before Gelhardt, when it was obvious that we needed to improve our chances of scoring was a huge mistake in my opinion.
The fact that we were playing one of the teams below us and that they played us pretty evenly is not very reassuring for the remainder of the season. It would have been much better for us to lose to West Ham and pick up 3 points today instead. Two of the teams below us gained 3 points on us this week. Not good.
This is a massive loss for us.

Our defensive players are too attack orientated for me which is great when you score more than the opposition but we're not. They seem inept at Making a tackle without getting booked or making any tackle for that matter, defensive positioning is poor too.
We need a prolific goalscorer and have done for a few seasons,Bamford is not the answer he normally needs 40 chances a game to score and that's not happening.
Rodrigo is shite and as I've said before ,couldn't hit a barn door at 5yds.

The reaction from here is over the top, Newcastle fan here, on an another day you would of beaten us 2or 3-0 James miss is a shocker both of them, you had chances, we needed that win more than you, if you want I'll swap howe for Marcelo? Howe has got us playing more positive we press far more under him, and matched you're runs all over the park today, but you were the better team and didn't deserve to lose that match, you have villa next away, I'm telling you now you better hope Marcelo stays on, it's down to him you are even in the Premier League, and if invested properly you could easily be a mid table team pushing towards Europa league, what that man has achieved is nothing short of incredible, if Phillips and Bamford had played today, my team wouldn't of won that game it's that simple, you miss kalv and paddy, keep the head I told you we would both stay up, you're still 7 points clear of us barcodes as you call us, feck me man get a couple players in before the window shuts and paddy back you will be fine
, people calling for Marcelos head
you lose him mark my words you will fall apart, he's the man that makes you the club you are, he's brought life and belief back into you're club appreciate what you have.

It's a good job Everton and Brentford are going south otherwise this really would be a 5 team shoot out but wolves and villa did us a favour today .

No! VAR is to stop us, not help us,
It was offside, but The ref was already spending his bonus
Stop worryin' about what people say, when it ain't gonna stop them anyway.

Roberts before Gelhardt is confusing even coming back from injury when he has scored once in 750 appearances
Rodrigo was once again a disappointment.

Simple as that for me MJS. It was a decent enough watch but we never created anything today unlike last week where we were clinical in the chances created. James should have scored or at the very least made the keeper save the ball other than that i can't remember us having any other shots on target.Mick Jones shoulder wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 5:02 pm Not s**t in my opinion but certainly lack quality and guile in forward areas. The defence has certainly improved in recent weeks. Goalkeeping mistake cost us today.
Newcastle were not great either in front of goal but got the luck today with the mistake. I hope it doesn't play on Mes mind cos he made two more good stops. Fair play to the Toon i thought they cut off the space through the middle well and defended for their lives in the box. Listen they are signing good players which should give them a lift. Its only a matter of time until they turn things around. Citeh tells us that lets hope its not this season tho.

Var could easily have given the Saint M and koch challenge as a pen in this day and age. Think we swerved that one
