If we played until 5pm on Sunday we weren’t going to score with the team we had on up to the 80th minute. We never got even a clear look at goal. We expect a good winger to just become a 9 for the day. We leave a young player that we know can attack like no one else we have on the bench and just give him 10 minutes to save a point - totally unfair.

We had literally broken three of their players with the pace of the game and another had to limp around just to keep it at 11 aside, and yet we can’t carve one clear chance. It was the complete opposite to last week’s effort. Not keeping Hjelde at left back was a key error, followed closely by not playing the one striker we had fit today, even as an early sub. The hole we have in the centre of the park is just silly now that Forshaw is missing.

This was a cavalier throwing away of three points against a very poor side. I’d say that Eddie Howe cannot believe he has 3 points tonight after that.

We need an experienced striker and a central midfielder to be signed urgently. We proved today again how badly they are needed. There is a very high stakes gamble going on in the club at the moment - I pray that it pays off, but the odds are lengthening on that with each such performance.
Spot on Mr Radley, Once again bielsa has made us look foolish, 3 points today would've boosted confidence no end, once again we rest on last weeks laurels, once again we take 2 forward and 1 backward, once again we are living on promotion and 9th.
Newcastle, f**king Newcastle !!!!
1 win all season ffs, and they destroy us at home, all because the manager knows better !!!
Before anyone gets uppity, they did destroy us, we couldn't break them down, we missed chance after chance, we had players in the wrong positions....AGAIN, we had players on the bench when they ought to have started AGAIN , the manager admitted he got it wrong AGAIN.

Disappointing to lose but a generally good performance in a game that could have gone either way.

The only really disappointing aspect was the poor passing and lack of creativity in the final third, aspects which had improved of late.

One particular highlight of the game was Dan James fantastic chase back to snuff out one of their attacks.
Un Marcelo Bielsa, solo hay un Marcelo Bielsa. Gracias Marcello. Marsching on together.

Anyone else notice Llorente and Gelhardt both having a bit of a rub of their hamstrings in the game?

Strongly suspect two players who weren't meant to be back until February have been rushed back.

And for proof of this as a possibility just read Bielsa admitting that players have been played with injuries a few weeks ago.

Worries me

Wor Al saying as it is, you were the better team, and if you had a striker you win the game easy as i said, but blame Marcelo, James should of buried those two chances he had, but get behind the lad, I really hope you go to villa and stuff them.

Only Leeds could drop five points to one of the worst teams in the PL, it typifies our club just as we've been beaten in the domestic cups by non-league clubs due to massive errors & complacency.

All the young players who impressed in the West Ham games were dumped yesterday, taking Dallas out of our midfield was crazy & sticking with goal-shy Dan James upfront has gone beyond a joke now. We are not a Man City who play with a false No.9, the major difference between them & us, they have quality & score goals from all over the park, yesterday their CB Laporte rescued a point, next week it could be Cancelo & the following game young Palmer, they are a total different entity to our bunch of hard working lads who squirm out goals in our games littered with mistakes.

Even though Bielsa's refusal to start Gelhardt, to give the young man only ten minutes after we go one down is an insult to his integrity, his energy, guile & instincts would have given Raphinha & Harrison better options, both Jack & Raph must be tearing their hair out this morning after all their hard endeavour creating opportunities with no No.9 in the middle
to stick the ball in the net.

He's not a striker though BG, and it's madness to shove him into that position week after week as it doesn't and won't work.

It's also knocking the lads confidence.

In the more than 4 months that Paddy has been out, and still no news on his progression, how many minutes on the park has Joffy been given?

A loss at home to a relegation side can never be construed as a 'good performance'. The second half we were awful and toothless, never looked like scoring. It's clear we need an orthodox target man, someone with a presence in the box. What do we have instead? Dan James playing as a lone frontman. It doesn't work and never will.

Joe needs to get out. While Bielsa is there his chances are very limited , maybe that could be the wake up call Bielsa needs !

He's not a striker but take the one on one last week against hammers, either corner and it's in but he tamely back passes it to the keeper. Anyone playing in forward positions should be finishing better than that surely. It's not his fault Bielsa is being a jerk by playing him there but very good chances should be taken at this level.

That's true mate, 25 million is a lot to pay for a forward that can't finish, ditto Rodrigo.

Yes exactly. I wonder if Joe would've converted these chances.

As I said 4 months of our only striker being out and Joffy has hardly any minutes, while we persist with this James n Tyro carry on.

Very frustrating for Joffy.

On the Paddy issue it makes you wonder wtf is going on?

He went out for a week in September, and similar to Forshaw, there's never any talk of a return date, just evolution and progression :duno:

Is it a long term injury and they just don't want to admit it and then be pressured into bringing in a striker while the windows still open?

Silence is golden

Of course he would mate, we'd have won at a canter, as them lot had nowt.

We've spunked money on poor transfers and not recruited the players we needed.

At each transfer window we're falling further behind the opposition and not addressing our issues. We need to cull a good few from this squad and bring better quality in.

But another transfer window is drifting by, while Dan James watches the hoofball fly over his head.

I have no doubts Radz plans on selling up very soon so he's doing whatever he can to keep his money in his pocket. He's seen all the wasted millions frittered away and is not allowing it to happen again. He's praying Bielsa keeps them up and then he'll negotiate to sell.

And if we go down, he will keep the parachute payments to himself! Leaving us in a complete and utter mess.

I have no doubt in my mind, the club did not negotiate wage reductions in result of relegation, like they did with promotion bonuses. That means we'll have players like Cooper and Ayling on £40k a week in the Championship! How on earth would we get rid of them?
