Noah Okafor
According to Italian media.
25 year old former Swiss Young Player of the Year and multiple RB Salzburg league title winning team member.
Was very highly rated a few years ago and earned a move to AC Milan.
Had a bright first season stats wise, 6 goals 2 assists in just 870 minutes in Serie A.
Big things were expected last season but he struggled, just 1 goal to show in 400 odd minutes at the start of the season then injuries struck.
Was deemed surplus by the time he returned and was loaned to Napoli but barely played.
He is a direct, pacey and versatile players able to play anywhere across the front line but best on the left cutting in.
A tricky winger able to get fans out of their seats.
Downside is he's yet to show consistent form outside of Austrian football (flashes in Italy) and hasn't got close to the heights that were expected a few years ago.
But more of an issue is he's made of biscuits and has been injury plagued basically his whole career
He's never had an injury free season and has missed 10 or more games in all of the last 6 seasons.
Would maybe make sense as a Harrison backup winger replacement?

Re: Noah Okafor- Talks ongoing
Leeds have reached an agreement to sign AC Milan forward Noah Okafor, according to journalist Luca Bianchin. He says, "Leeds have reached an agreement on the contract with Noah Okafor. Negotiations are accelerating. Leeds aim to finalize a permanent deal, Milan have not yet said yes and are considering."
The 25-year-old struggled for game time last season, playing just 412 minutes for AC Milan so we absolutely must get him in!

Re: Noah Okafor- Talks ongoing
If Okafor signs, it seems like another example of how this window isn’t about depth—it’s more about range.
He’s two-footed in a way that actually matters: 28 goals right-footed, 26 left-footed. That makes him unpredictable in the box and dangerous no matter where he picks up the ball. Positionally, he’s scored 27 as a centre-forward, 9 from the left, and 8 from the right—real flexibility, not just “can do a job there."
Whereas Ramazani gives us speed and dribbling (and I'd love to see us hold on to him too), Okafor gives us a few more options. He can stretch teams, hold the line, or run beyond. It seems like he's built to press, can lead the line or play off it, and even gives us another look entirely when Piroe or Nmecha aren’t the answer.
It seems like this window has been about different player profiles—Bornauw for set pieces, Longstaff for box-to-box energy, Stach to control the tempo and do "Stachie" things. Okafor would add one more layer: unpredictable, mobile, hard to mark, and not reliant on one system or shape to be effective.
Think it’s not just adding quality—it’s expanding what we are capable of doing.

AC Milan are playing right now and star attacker Rafael Leão went off injured first half.
Okafor wasn't subbed on but media reporting any deal for Okafor may depend on the severity of the injury to Rafael Leão

Aye, lad, Noah Okafor's a reet decent player, tha knows. Strengths: 'e's got bags o' pace, clever positionin', an' can carry t'ball forward like a pro on either wing or up top. Weaknesses: 'e's nowt special in air, shies away from headers, an' 'is finishin' can be a bit iffy at times. Could be a grand fit for Leeds!

Sure, there’s always some luck involved with injuries—but acting like they can’t be managed at all is a bit of an oversimplification. Rehab protocols, load management, minutes tracked by GPS—it’s not just magic wands and crossed fingersThe Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Aug 17, 2025 8:22 pm Amusing to think there are posters that think we can control injuries...
And realistically, we’re in a relegation fight, rebuilding on a limited budget, and trying to stretch that across multiple positions. That narrows the pool. If you want quality and experience at this level, you’re often looking at players with more complicated injury records. It’s not ideal—it’s just where we are.

Injuries can of course be managed but some players are simply more injury prone than others and no amount of managing changes that.
Imo Okafor has such long standing and persistent injury issues it's too much of a risk.
We've already taken a massive one with DCL.

It's mostly luck.. or negligence. We got lucky with Solomon last season, our health and fitness team is no better than other teams nor any better than the previous unit...AcrossThePondAsh wrote: ↑Sun Aug 17, 2025 8:37 pm Sure, there’s always some luck involved with injuries—but acting like they can’t be managed at all is a bit of an oversimplification. Lets just say there was a regime change in the people handing medical issues that under the new regime Ampadu make a remarkable recovery and came back from what was a season ending injury, and Solomon who was thought to be injury prone was nursed through the whole season. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Aug 17, 2025 8:22 pm Amusing to think there are posters that think we can control injuries...
Whereas under the old regime neither Bamford or Forshaw were never rehabilitated. Perhaps we are in better hands now, or at least the evidence seems to point in that direction, and our fretting and fears for DCL, though I can understand that the negative mindset of your average Leeds fan would veer towards apprepension, will in the long run prove to be unfounded.
I certainly hope so.

Shirley the only people that know what our medical dept is like in comparison are the people that work there and have something to compare it against?
Don't medical staff get different jobs because they prefer the facilities at such ?

Framing it as either “luck” or “negligence” is a false choice. That’s like saying a patient either gets better by chance or their doctor’s incompetent. We both know that’s not how it works. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sun Aug 17, 2025 8:42 pm It's mostly luck.. or negligence. Some doctors are better than others—training, experience, where they did their residency, how they handle complex cases. Same goes for medical teams in football. Injury outcomes live in that messy middle ground where planning, monitoring, and day-to-day decisions actually matter.
You can say our staff aren’t elite, fair. But pretending it’s all coin flips or clowns with scalpels just doesn’t hold up.

Re: Noah Okafor- Talks ongoing
I think that’s the fairest take I’ve seen so far. There’s definitely no magic formula, but it also does seem as if something changed last season. Whether it’s improved protocols, staff turnover, or just better coordination between medical and coaching teams, the outcomes with players like Ampadu and Solomon were objectively better than what we saw under the previous setup.Sean_Nile wrote: ↑Sun Aug 17, 2025 8:42 pm Lets just say there was a regime change in the people handing medical issues that under the new regime Ampadu make a remarkable recovery and came back from what was a season ending injury, and Solomon who was thought to be injury prone was nursed through the whole season.

And you're right—fears about DCL (and other players) are definitely valid given his record, but it’s also completely possible he’s walking into a more structured, modernized setup than the one that failed to keep Forshaw or Bamford consistently fit. We won’t know until we see it play out, but dismissing it all as luck or assuming we’re stuck repeating past mistakes doesn’t give this new group any credit.
Here’s hoping that edge—however small—helps tip the balance--we’ll need every bit of it.

6 seasons in a row having never missed less than 10+ games is a pretty consistent and bad fitness record tbfSean_Nile wrote: ↑Sun Aug 17, 2025 8:42 pm Lets just say there was a regime change in the people handing medical issues that under the new regime Ampadu make a remarkable recovery and came back from what was a season ending injury, and Solomon who was thought to be injury prone was nursed through the whole season.

Solomon was considered injury prone and was nursed through the season but is injured now and has been all pre season.
Ampadu recovered quickly but has been pretty much injury free for the last 3 seasons previously (and still missed 25 odd games last season)
I'm no Dr but surely persistent injuries year in year out must weaken a body?
DCL has missed 80 odd games in 4 seasons, Nmceha has missed 70+, Okafor is at 50+, how many risks with our squad do we really want to take?

The issue is akin to looking to buy a car it seems to me. If you see one that has a history of mechanical problems, as opposed to usual wear & tear and age, and being off the road more often than not for the last couple of years, I think it's fair to assume you'd be wary of putting your hand in your pocket.
If your Company is looking to buy such a car for its car pool you might at least wonder why the vehicles history seems of little interest
