To be fair to Marsch I do not think he is doing a bad job. The Brentford game aside we haven’t been turned over this season. Game management has question marks but the problem we have, as many point out, is the bench. From an attacking perspective we are relying on players who have hardly played any mins other than the odd cameo appearance. You really need game time at this level to get to the level required providing you have the talent. 10 mins here or there usually when the team is on the back foot does nothing for confidence.

Arsenal blooded their young starlets early doors on a regular basis, ie Saka, Martinelli and Smith-Rowe. The first two are now the first names on the team sheet. I am not suggesting ours are in the same class but we will never know, because they are not given a proper opportunity. The club hierarchy bang on about the young talent been the reason for not needing to sign another striker. Marsch needs to man up and make it clear they are not good enough if that is the case.

Not sure if Marsch is a yes man, but he should be banging on Radz door everyday and spelling out that we are at least two to three players short.

I thought first half hour we were excellent today, but the second half performance was shocking. The fitness seems to be lacking, teams are realising if they can stay with us first half they can take over in the second.
Worry for me is we are not getting enough points from what you would consider the bottom half teams. We still have most of the top six teams to come.

Disagree. Wasn't a fitness issue. Palace just showed better quality 2nd half. Fitness only in regards to Bamford coming back from injury. Other than that, it was a tactical and quality difference rather than fitness.

Merson said that we wouldn’t be able to maintain the press for 90 minutes, we would tire and then their quality would win them the game.

That’s exactly what happened, which pisses me off btw as Merson is very anti-Leeds generally.

With you on this DDB. I’m not totally writing off Jesse. Not at all. The bench is not great but does he use it well that is the question.
If we have any young talented players people say oooh don’t push them too hard they’re only little. Can’t have that as youngsters who are talented have an arrogance and I’d prefer to see them tested rather than hold them back. Perhaps we’d prefer to keep playing Klich, Ayling & Mr Gums Bamford

Yep they had more creativity. The ball in from Olise just needed a touch and it's in. We kept Zaha quiet, but then they have Eze and Olise. We only really have Sinisterra.

Tarkowski (free) & Coady (on loan) were available. Everton snapped them both up.

Meanwhile Charlie Taylor remains at Burnley, would have immediately resolved our LB problem & we'd have got him for a song.

At the time I said on here that we made an error not trying to get Tarkowski and or Coady. I really believe currently we would have at least 6 more points if we'd done that.
