Looks like he's been dropped, no news of any injury. Ayling has been very poor so far this season so he really needs to step up but he does have the ability to make things happen

Both Kristensen and Roca demoted to the bench, neither injured I suspect as they wouldn’t have made the bench if they were. I must admit it’s a bit sobering to realise that this is our 3rd year in the Premier League and Forshaw, after his terrible injury problems (and he was never really good enough at this level prior to that), is still being relied on to start games.

In general I wouldn't pick Forshaw. But he did play better than Roca on Wednesday.
Marsch obviously sees something different in Ayling. Rasmus the better player. But Ayling does offer more threat going forward,
