It’s an improved performance. I’m concentrating on that even if there is some disappointment.

I'm sure you're all as shocked as me.

Put himself about well.

Not convinced technically there is much there or whether asked to properly press.

But did well.

A lot of our defensive woes since getting back into the PL have been down to signing defenders not up to playing in the PL - the defensive improvement since signing Wober proves this. Llorente was not good enough, and Koch still looks like a weak link.

Is it though? We played well v Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. We can't afford a bad performance or dropped points v Everton and Southampton.

Can't fault that display. Everyone put in a shift and I think we all would have taken a point if offered before the game. Pity that we are unable to close out a win, but we were playing a team away in excellent form and with a squad stacked full of talent. The biggest takeaways from the game for me were:

1) McKennie and Adams look to have good bite in midfield.
2) Wober has excellent reading defensively. He made at least a couple of blocks and one clearance from just good anticipation alone. Also improves Koch's game.
3) Summerville looking sharp again. Seems to be over his injury and how we need him with Sini injured (AGAIN).
4) No slacking by anyone. They look up for it.
5) Still lacking someone in the park to dictate the pace and also manage the game.
5) A good enough performance to show any prospective manager that we have enough to stay up, and have enough talent to work with.

Before today we averaged holding onto a lead for 11 minutes apparently, which is a very worrying statistic.

Koch, Struijk, even Ayling (who I thought played well but how many years does he have left at this level). Concede two goals a game. Hard to win when you can't lock it down.

I see that as a point gained infact I'd have taken a point over the 2 games tbh.

Would beware scum on Sunday now, wounded them tonight and they will need revenge for title challenge. The recent past says it won’t but hopefully this time that performance will give us confidence, no way on that showing we should be near the bottom

We need 21 points roughly. 6 win, 3 draws? 5 wins, 6 draws? Big ask!

Yes. I think so.
Already agreed with you re the vital games v Everton & Soton. If we mess up in those we are properly in the shite. But if we get what we need we’ll look back on Manure as a good result. Would you take a point Sunday?

Yeah this ^

There was nothing to get carried away with there, it was a welcome plucky 1pt, the Sunday game will tell us more, but the games v EFC and Soton we've got to be winning, they are 6 pointers.

See we have the usual negative ungracious ungrateful idiots on show tonight... Magnificent result excellent game, means not much in the grand scheme of things but everyone played their part... And we did it with two early in game injuries

Nope. We need 3 imo. We need to start winning.

But doable.

Shouldn't have kept Marsch as long as we did, but here we are.

Really do need wins though and that means vs a top 6 side.
