It was so much easier to pin everything on Marsch, and to be in denial of the fact that there is a chronic lack of quality in the 1st team, and in relation to the overall play in the final third. I think reality is now dawning on people.
Some thought that playing less narrow would result in flowing free scoring football....Well again - reality is dawning. If you have journeyman players such as Bamford and Harrison in the 1st team you will always be weak in the final third.

Do you remember the two championship seasons under Bielsa ? He was bemoaning the ' lack of efficiency ' in the final third after just about every game back then. Remember the mini crisis in the promotion season when Bamford had gone about 12 games without a goal, and people were saying that he was going to cost us promotion. There was a clamour to bring in Nketiah. This issue only improved in the first PL season back - when the likes of Harrison and Bamford were playing in front of empty seats. Ever since that first season in the PL it's reverted to business as usual - toothless in the final third. And that's using two different systems with two different managers - and both based on a pressing style of play.
And after those 4.5 seasons we are now on our third manager - and guess what, people are still moaning about how poor and toothless we are in the final third. Take away Raphinha's goals last season and we were down.
So what I mean is that people are blind to make Marsch such a scapegoat - three managers now have failed to deal with this problem. Yet the spotlight and scrutiny is never placed squarely on the recruitment efficiency at the club.
Disappointing performance again. Absolutely no interest from the players, it was like it was their first time playing together. There's a few players would want to take a good hard look at themselves. To many passengers again yesterday. Time to turn it around, but that time waits for no man.

Very depressing. It's all very well Bamford complaining about JM 's system but we're not playing that now and he was abysmal yesterday. His air shot defied belief.
We still have time to turn it around but things will have to improve dramatically otherwise we're sunk.
Which suggests that Marsch was a scapegoat for Orta and a few underperforming players - of which Bamford is a prime example. That guy has got too big for his boots given that he's a second rate footballer anyway. Get rid of him and Harrison in the summer regardless of which division we will be in.

Absolutely, no point in getting annoyed. We all love our club and want them to do well but at the end of the day its only football.
There are much more important things in life to worry about.
