As things stand right now. I'd be offering Ayling an extension in the summer. And I'd look to sell Rasmus since we can't expect him to stick around for another season as 2nd choice.
Yes, me too. Drameh as backup.

Ayling is playing like a man possessed, my MOTM today.

Maybe Ayling’s much improved form is linked to the competition provided by Rasmus, either way, you need two players per position so I’d be sending Rasmus nowhere, it’s down to him to get himself back in the side.

Always looked to slow for the Premier League.

But the Dutch bloke knows him from Ajax so could be in line for more chances

Centre half for me, big, strong in the air, good tackler if not having to run at full pace.. I'd have him as my RCB2 atm.... he has quality and he wasn't expensive...

A lot could depend on the new manager. Next guy might pick Rasmus over Ayling. Or he might be a 3 at the back guy which would enable Rasmus or Ayling to play center back.

Did say, numerous times, he's a centre back.... not a wing back

You certainly did

Much prefer using Rasmas than Ayling as a CB, play Luke as a CB weakens us in two positions.

Ayling was my MOTM at Fulham, he wouldn't have been had he been deployed as a centre-back.

Javi called it right from the onset :-D

Ayling isn't a CH full stop.
If RK can supplement the RB or CH slot, then thats fine for what we paid for him.

Credit to Rasmus for getting the goal and a decent performance when he came on.

BUT ....

Another bloody foul throw? What the Eff? 2nd one this season. Need to send him back to middle school.

Rasmus had a nice performance off the bench. It's AWAYS a good performance off the bench when you score a goal. :roflmao:

But seriously, in his 29 minutes he scored the goal, had 15 touches, won all of his ground duels, and had one successful dribble. The downside is he was only 4-7 passing for 57%.

Couldn't believe it when I saw Rasmas in their box just about to unleash a shot.

Nice finish!

See now that's just cruel to Rasmus.....

But damn! Aaronson has been awful around goal. Having watched so much of his career at Philly, Salzburg, and with USA I expected much more composure. Honestly, he looks like a shell of the player he was just a year ago. And I'm using his performances with USA as the baseline. Really hoping that Javi can help him find that confidence again. There is a player in there somewhere....

Was really pleasing to see Ayling being the first to congratulate him and the other players too. Must be hard for him being out of the team but good that the fella that took his place sees him as a valued teammate and shows good togetherness in the squad.
