Also next season we won't have Bielsa, Berardi, White, Phillips & Hernandez
If anyone thinks it'll be easy getting out of the Championship, think again and remember all the years we spent there and in League One.

We have had our shot at the top level thanks to Bielsa and the three stooges fucked it up big style.

And the right manager is vitally important as we’ve discovered this season
And add to that Gray, Joseph, Perkins and Monteiro.
As I said in the week, when (not if) we go down, most of the senior players will want to leave, with the money we make, get more suitable experienced players in and mix with the talented youngsters coming through.
I'd start with either Gyorkores, Akpom or Piroe. Probably difficult to get Akpom but the other two would certainly come.

Watched on a 2 hour delay. The way we've been playing, there was no way I was setting my alarm for 4 a.m.

I checked the result first too which made watching even more depressing.

There are questions about our selection in attack. To be honest I could go with any combination of Summerville, Aaronson, Harrison, Sinisterra, Gnonto, behind whchever striker is most fit. I think the defence was as good as we could offer too - although Rasmus is doing nothing to show he's the man to replace the struggling Ayling.

For me, the problem is all in that 2 man midfield. The main culprit is McKennie who was just a passenger. Either the personnel or the system has to change. McKennie needs to be dropped. Roca probably keeps his place. But we need to look at other options

I hope, I pray, that this dressing room can get it together and show some fight against Leicester

This lot could be playing in my back garden right now . . I'd close the curtains and turn the tele up

BlackHillsPaul wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 2:47 pm I agree with this Joe. McKennie will be gone. Which is fine he is not a good fit anyway. If the goal is to come right back up I would try and retain Aaronson, Adams, Roca, and Worber. I think all would perform well in the Championship. And they will provide some leadership. Especially Adams and Worber. I would keep Gnonto and Summerville. I think we are stuck with Rutter.

Sell Bamford, Rodrigo, Sinistera, Koch, Harrison, Firpo, and Meslier.

And then give Drameh and Cresswell and some of the other kids a REAL shot at winning starting jobs.
I was really pleased when we signed McKennie. Seen him for a couple of years as a top class midfielder. But his contribution to Leeds has been nil. Even if he doesn't fit the system, I want to see a lot more. He should be commanding a lot more in the midfield. He should be shouting, running his balls off, throwing himself into tackles. I see none of the passion he shows with the US.

Do you think there's credibility to the dressing room bust up? Is it possible that he just doesn't get along with his team mates?

Couldn't agree more Riot. It will be tough going in the Championship and the three stooges have well and truly stuffed us.

There's no positives right now. The only way we'll get optimism back is with a win against Leicester.

Harrison would edge it before him too based on the last month or so since he supposedly recovered from his ankle injury.
There's no natural replacement to Aaronson in the current system. Which is why he starts every game. It would take a tweak, but we could play Gnonto in a role similar to the one he plays for Italy. Maybe go to a 3 man midfield (do we have 3 good midfielders), or stick Harrison or Summerville in the 10 role.

Robles was in my line-up all week. Javi clueless!
I was calling for Robles to help organize the back line and yell at people. With Cooper and Wober, we've got some leadership back. I'd even bring Ayling back as Rasmus has done nothing to claim the position. And on today's showing Forshaw for McKennie. So we have enough leaders at the back.

I do rate Melsier a much better keeper than Robles. But might be fair to take him out of the firing line for a couple of games. His confidence has to be shot to pieces now by our abysmal defence.

Wouldn't bank on it. Coventry are looking at playoffs so he certainly won't come to us if we swap leagues with them and who would tbf. The club is in turmoil run by cowboys .

We made some real gaffs there.

Drameh should be playing right back for us now. Should have been trusted and given game time sooner. Signing Kristennsen was clearly a mistake. Drameh should have been trusted to back up Ayling.

Joffy is one that really bothers me. Admittedly the best for his development was a decent run of games in the championship. But he only went out because we signed Rutter. Rutter is not ready and not trusted. Joffy did more in last season's run in than Rutter has this season. Joffy showed that he can provide moments from the bench lat in games.

Leo & Charlie. These boys were written off way too quick. At least they have all been toughened up in the Championship. Ready for next season

You should keep an eye on them. Probably catch McKennie sitting in the corner, eating a Mars bar.

Too negative too defensive, plays with fear ...we allowed Fulham to set up a front four and that's tough to hold on against, your defense has to be nigh on perfect... We played for a 0-0. If you go into a game with an inferiority complex you're gonna get beat.

I rate McKennie but he now needs to be dropped even from the squad, he's not here next season, he knows that and he's playing like he has nothing to play for. We're also playing him way too deep

Forshaw, Roca, McKennie. None of these are defensive mids in that they can defend. Gyabi can be that player but I think we may have left that too late.
