He is very frantic, needs to slow down and think. He reminds me of a kid playing in the playground, just following the ball.

Brenden has scored five goals in 20 appearances.

Georginio scored six goals in 44 appearances, last season.

Goal contributions (notably assists) were much higher for Georgi. But we know he had a panic attack every time he was in front of goal.

He's only scored two for Brighton, but I must have seen them both. My thought when I've seen him play is that he definitely looks more assured in front of goal.

As for Brendan, I do think he's a terrific player. But TSB Joe nailed it in his write up. He just needs to slow down. He's been raised on hectic/chaotic football. He needs to learn to compose himself at the right time.

Yep, it reminds me when someone said that Casilla needed a choke chain to prevent him from racing out of his ground so often.

AAronson needs someone to help him with his decison making, at times he it seems like he just wants to get rid of the ball.

I dont ever see Aaronson ever changing. I think the player we see now and did see in the past will always frustrate and please us in equal measure. A bit like Jack Harrison, got plenty of ability but doesnt always put it to good use.

Obviously everyone has their opinion and they are entitled to it. For Brenden Aaronson there are those that speak highly of him and then there are his detractors.

Putting aside all the wheres and why fors of the past and starting a new page from the start of the season I think BA has a frantic style of play, does a lot of running getting all over the pitch, has some good moves, has a lack of physicality and is prone to misplace passes and making wrong choices. Put all that together and IMHO we have what is a just above average Championship level player. He'll do for us at the moment but if we have higher ambitions we need better quality

We used to say the same headless chicken tale about Dan James. Whilst he still has his moments, his head rules his feet, mostly. Give Aaronson time, I say.
But I also say, let me moan when he gets things wrong. I have that right.

Think BA deserves praise for yesterday, unlucky not to get an assist.

But imo more important was his positioning and attitude.

Too often this season Aaronson has got the ball and gone backwards.

Last night he played into the final 3rd more I felt.

But was more impressed with his positioning, thought he was closer to Piroe and it made such a difference.

DF has mentioned it before how Aaronsen often drifts into areas he doesn't need to be, wide left or right usually, it means we have no link player between the striker and midfield.

Then Piroe has to drop deep and people get cross and so on.

Yesterday I felt Aaronson played it more like the position requires, he didn't drift as much and it made such a difference.

Piroe got 11 touches in the opposition box, why? Because he didn't have to drop deep because Aaronson was where he should be.

You can see it in the heatmaps

Piroe.

Can see how close together they are.

Really helps.

Nearly as foggy as the game that is.

But agree, I thought that was one of both Piroe and Aaronsons best games for us, normally BA runs about a lot and is just a nuisance, last night he ran about a lot but had purpose with it.
Piroe was just class.

Aaronsen probably has not benefitted from his many years at Red Bull clubs and the Marschball type tactics where he would be chasing the ball no matter where it was. All focussed on that rather than what position you should be in when you have the ball, no patient build up etc.

Thought he was poor yesterday
But he took a painful knock in the 1st half and DF still left him on . . .

Why not sub him earlier?

Wasn't in his pre determined subs presumably

Strange though if it was such a bad knock

I have to disagree with you on this one, Cjay

Brenden is such a frustrating footballer, yes he held onto the ball three times, but his overall play was very good.

19 excellent contributions in all.

Just look at our MOTM six polls, Aaronson is in the majority of them.

I did wonder if he got injured during the celebration of Ramazani's second goal.

One question I have to ask....

Why was Aaronson marking their big centre-back Bernard at the back post for two corners, beaten in the air first-time which almost led to an equaliser, then we are caught out again in the second-half. Do we ever learn at set-pieces?

I thought he was good overall, certainly if playing in pain. If he's not available on Wednesday it'll be interesting to see who Farke turns to at 10.

Very frustrating player for me, good engine but too easily knocked about and loses the ball a lot.
A bit of calmness about his overrall game and he'd be far better, head up and look, not head down and run.

I thought he had good moments, pressed well some nice simple passes, some nice turns and runs.

But rarely lead to anything as he kept the ball too long, he's such an odd player.

Always in such a rush to do everything else but when he's running with the ball time stands still.

I've lost hope with our set pieces, both attacking and defensive
