Had to go back to the pub for a beer before I drove home from the game.

It seems like the manager isnt allowed to talk about the game at all these days.

Golden rule #1 - Rotate players in a long season
Golden rule #2 - When going for something work the Jan transfer window
Golden rule #3 - Play your best players
Golden rule #4 - Let them worry about you, not vice versa
Golen rule #5 - Don't let them get up when they're on the floor
The lack of rotation is inexplicable. Aaronson, James, Piroe and Solomon have all been on a long slog since Christmas. And yet he refuses to start Gnonto or Ramazani who have looked electric at times. Yet, when they come on they're rusty through lack of action. (Less so for Gnonto who has had a couple of strong sub appearances)

He had more than enough last season.

As for the upset about Geo, pish off tell them to grow up be a manager not a softly softly coward.

And if it matters that much tell them to pick up the phone and call him, he's not dead!!!!

Or give them Monday off and fly them down to Brighton, they can spend the day skipping down the beach with Geo ffs.
 they might learn a bit from Brighton's coach with a bit of luck 🤞

It's a heartbreaking moment when you concede in this manner. It's football. Sometime you are on the wrong end on the course of a long season.

Today we are on the wrong end. We have to suffer a little bit. But then we go again.

The goals conceded

I can't expain but we don't need to speak baout this too much.

Overall, it was a typical first game after the interntional break. We hasn;t trained together for two weeks. We needed to shake the rustiness from the international break off.

We spoke about this at half time and how we need to calm down. Yeah you can say Ao played the ball back for the corner.

I have to say a fantastic reaction from my team, when you concede in such a way.

Would have been a perfect hard-fought win. But we don't pick up three points, just on

Gnonto

If you asked me 10 days ago, I;d have said very close to starting. Then he went away and had this injury. A serious injury.

There was no chance to start him today, A bit risky to play him today anyway. Hopefully he's in a better situation for the next games.

Meslier

Not right now [about thinking about his palce in the team]. We win together and draw together. Everyone can see what happened today.

After such a heartbreaking game they don't need a manager to put the disappointment on the players.

Why Ampadu started

I observed him closely during the training week. He looked very sharp.

For me it was clear he could play 60 mins. If not for the yellow card he could have played longer. It wasn't a coincidence that when eh went off we hadn't conceded a goal.

Added time

I'm 100 per cent concined we'll play in Premier League next season.

I asked them. Their goalkeeper went down. I asked the fourth official if he can do antthing. He said our hands are tied.

No complaints from Swansea doing this. It's not down to the referee or fourth official why we concede this equaliser. Can't accuse them at all.
Their equalizer was down to the officials?

We have to shake off the rust of the international break?

Bullshit

I've not read much of this thread as I have been to the most fabulous wedding today so forgive me for that. I say it every single year when we have not strengthened in January: we will regret it. And here we are again. So peed off with this...

I think you are making the usual error of thinking that the manager is making excuses when perhaps all he is doing is talking about what happened at the game.

He wiil be more pissed off than the rest of us.

Always dangerous to pin a defeat (seems like one) to a player, players, manager or tactics but its on Meslier today. 100%. Drop a ball meekly at a strikers foot. The second I suppose is textbook far post strike but he dives over it. Give your wages to charity this week Mes. Bloody useless

The club is at fault, not Meslier.

It's been obvious for many seasons now that he is crap, but they've done nothing to replace him.

We're reaping what's be sown.

No doubt people will be crying when Meslier eventually leaves

Does Meslier have kids? I think he thought he had velcro gloves on with the velcro football in his garden.

Feel free to.

The truth is that the players displayed astonishing ineptitude and naivety today on the pitch.

And the most annoying part was that they actually started playing better in the second half and then two asolute howlers by Tanaka and Meslier took all the confidence out of the players and they reverted to first half tactical stupidity.

Farke could see it and despite him making the changes the team still insisted in letting us all down including him.

And he never saves penalties. The irony. Let that in and save the other two. Wrong way round.

Half that starting line-up had two weeks recovery time & they put in a feeble display like that, they should be ashamed to take their wages in a week LUFC announced a 14% hike on us season-ticket holders.

Today just showed this lot are not good enough to play in the PL, and I suspect the majority of them know it.

He just ain't good enough Jay.

Continues to make the same mistakes all the time and never improved.

We need at goalkeeper who is consistently dependable, and that ain't Meslier.

Any statistic you look at demonstrates he's mediocre. He's had way less to do at this level and still made a heap of howlers.

I've made the point in the past that great goalkeepers have won silverware for teams: Schmeichel, Shilton, Clemence, etc.

Tbh though, Meslier is just one of a number of failure points for us.
