Another win to add to the back 3 catalogue

A flexible back three which became a back four when needed (Bogle and Gudmundsson took turns to attack so we weren’t exposed)

Could spin that argument on its head by saying the the average standard is higher (Leeds and Sunderland dragging it up for example) and it’s more difficult to win points against the below average teams.

The margin of error for the above average teams has potentially fallen.
I will now reverse spin my head to get back to normal (on average)

Think their is more average teams.

Certainly don't think the standard is as high up the league.

But also no awful ones bar Wolves.

So imo it's closer this season.

Whether helpful or not depends how you look at it.

Definitely feel you have a better chance of getting something from the better teams than normal

I like the starting line-up mainly because of Aaronsen in midfield rather than playing off DCL. A very attacking line-up with Justin likely to be able to get forward too. Saying that will probably end in a 0-0 draw or 1-0 defeat now!

Surprised at no Buanonotte, do think he will start in the cup match

I read this before the game and thought , very good points and totally agree, and as it turns out spot on, set us up where we are our best and give us every chance and it paid off big time

I see the usual suspects are trying to diminish what Farke is doing. This season to stay up we have to finish above at least 2 prem teams whereas last season we'd have just had to finish above 1 given how poor the promoted teams were.

Really is sad. No doubt one will still find a way to suggest Dyche is a better manager than the one we have.

The players are an easy target because some of them will have an off game, and the manager always has a bullseye on his back, then there is the unsuccessful scouting team, and if all else fails the owners can always be blamed. The quality of the opposition is a new one that has been dragged out of the woodwork.

Oh to get back to the simpler days when we could blame the flood lights shining in our eyes for the lack of goals being scored.

Just strange that one or two people on this forum spend most of their time mocking and making sarcastic remarks about the views of other fans. Didn't John Stuart Mill write about the danger of "intellectual overconfidence " in regards to his "doubt principle ? " That nobody has a monopoly on truth, and that even someone you disagree with might have some strands of validity in what they believe to be true which you can draw on ? One of the keys tenets of liberalism in its truest form, and of the free speech we are supposed to all value in the West...

im so glad forest only started playing with ten min to go cos we could have been in trouble

too many mistakes/ too much shakiness

but.... first 80 min was perfect

so proud of the boys!

such a shame we are stuck in that horrible 16th which doesnt really represent the overall form of the last 2 months (i think we would be like 9th based on form since the turn of the year)

He changed the formation and allowed the players to have even more freedom, almost Bielsa-like freedom. I think the 532, especially with Aaronsen as the 8, allows us so much flexibility that we can surprise teams. The first goal our right back making a run to be in the left wing/striker position unmarked. Second goal our centreback playing 1-2s on the edge of the opposition box and then driving into the box.
People who say it is just down to the formation don't give Farke the credit he deserves for the amount of freedom he allows the players to have. Most managers allow a bit of flexibility but this is extraordinary.

Indeed. It is supposedly an easier division this time around. Don't though think that the 3rd bottom team this season will only get 25 points!!!

In fairness to Sean, and possibly myself, I think it is about balance and actually giving Leeds Utd staff credit when it is due. Sure everyone has the right to critique but it is bordering on the ridiculous at times, well not at times it is non-stop.

To be fair I think it was down to the big delay whilst Gruev got treatment after taking a boot to the face. Those few minutes stopped our momentum and we struggled to get the intensity back. I think without that break we probably go on to get a 4th as Forest looked shellshocked but they had a chance to regroup too.

Judging from what Bogle has said it seems that they had been working on that move in training. Gruev in his early days with us sprayed some great passes around. I think though that Farke likes him to be more disciplined most of the time.
