Calvert-Lewin crowned PFA Player of the Month.

Well done that man.

Jimmy had his say on the DCL chance.

“Can you open your body up and take it with your left foot, you have a bigger chance of scoring.

“I must say, he takes it toepoking, but I would have rather seen him open his body up and take it with his left foot.”

I think he would’ve had the ball arrived without taking a nick off the defender, it would’ve arrived a split second earlier.
His left foot had just planted on the ground as the ball came.

I know what Jimmy means but if he was to do that there is more chance of him missing the ball completely or even mis-hitting/slicing it, it's easy to do if there's no pace on the ball and facing an empty net

Fair point.

Is also the fact JFH was a much better player than DCLA (certainly as a goalscorer) so maybe Jimmy is saying what he may have been able to do but DCL can't.

Saw Jimmy miss a fair few sitters too. Any striker can say what they would do, am sure DCL could pick out a chance Jimmy missed and say what he should have done.

He just gets too pure a connection.
Its better if you dont and almost certainly beats the keeper in that scenario.
Not an awful miss in my book.
But if Piroe missed that I would have him hung drawn & quatered.

DCL could definitely help JFH to say an intelligent sentence delivered within a timeframe of say 30 seconds.
When JFH starts a sentence I go and put the kettle on, make a cup of tea & put the washing on and by the time I get back he’s only just finished 🥱

Good DCL article on BBC sport this morning

I bet he was listening to that old banger by Journey during the summer.

What a great piece of recruitment.

I seen that earlier, long may it continue.

What a quality addition to our squad! And things are also working out for him. Hopefully this continues.
Looks like the Everton fans who didn't expect him to find any new form with us were totally wrong.

Pleased for him although Tuchel has to trim his squad by 10 for the World Cup so I think his chances are slim.

As much as i would like to see DCL making the final cut, unless he plays very well in these friendlies ( if he even gets any minutes that is ) i can`t really see it happening. Had he kept his good start to the season going and still been scoring goals for us then that might have swayed the thinking in picking him.
But the best of luck to DCL and fingers crossed for him that he does make it.

Needed to be picked when in form. Hopefully though it will give him a confidence boost and he will find where he put his scoring boots.

Selfish I know but I won’t be heartbroken if our players don’t get much game time in the internationals, the last thing we need are players coming back crocked for the run in.
