Thanks - I thought the average rating was pretty low.

It's a "opportunity cost" question really - we will never know whether someone else making those 17 starts would have made more of a difference. Personally I think that the right kind of player would have made a much greater impact.

Okafor is fit again apparently - we really need him to come on strong between now and the end of the season.

Why does Longstaff get so much negativity? I love him and think he was worth every penny. I certainly rate hm over Tanaka/Gruev/Aaronson. He gets so much stick. He's scored brilliant goals, never stops running and is a brilliant set-piece taker. We paid £15m for him and with a good run of games, he would shine IMO...

Its only because some fans take a dislike to a particular player because they dont like his style, or they wanted someone else that they said was our ideal player. They then will never admit they were wrong. They will always belittle or mock the player when he makes a mistake.
Longstaff may not be the most technically gifted player that we have, but its about a team/squad and its collective ability.
We achieved our goal this season because we had a good squad and a great togetherness, not because of just one player who did it all.

Condemn him and you can also condemn the judgement of the people who bought him.

Follows the same pattern. They don't like a player/manager so write them off from the start, pounce on anything to support their opinion. Ignore any good things player/manager does, or give begrudging praise when they have no other choice, usually though trying to still find a way to put a negative slant on the praise. Then leap back on with their vitriol when any little thing then happens so they can get back to their original stance.
