Good news ….. keep it coming.

I read that Amps, DCL and Gruev are the dressing room leaders.
Interesting in the context of Gruev staying or going.

I think Gruev is underrated. ALways comes in and does a steady job, I think at times playing within himself to keep things safe. I think for what we'd get if we sold him and then what we'd have to spend, and likely the higher wages of an incoming player, I'd be looking to keep him especially if he is happy with his squad role. Pretty sure he has also played at left back in his career which helps squad depth too in emergency.

And great news re Ampadu.

Despite some stories about he might be tempted to go or bigger clubs coming in for him, it was never in real doubt he would stay. Great start to the beginning of building an even better squad for next season.
Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will our squad be completely perfect by the time the new season kicks off, lets try to be realistic about it.

Great news getting Ethan a new contract. He's had a great season and is one of the best midfielders in the EPL, so it's very positive that he's got confidence in our ability to progress. Only cost 7 million, which is an absolute steal and confirms that it's not necessary to spend a fortune on transfer fees.

Hopefully, we also get Farke and our key players re-contracted too and bring in some quality additions.

Such a brilliant bit of news. What a man, what a player, what a skipper. He just gets what this club means and what it means to represent us. Wants to get us back where we belong.

A real statement of intent to start the summer - we mean business. Superb.

So many qualities from just a normal human being.

Irreplaceable in my opinion.

Obviously, Marathe & co believe so, handing the great man a six year contract.

Is it a new contract or extension?

What do we reckon? 80K plus?

Figures, so 4 year contract starting June 31st 26 I'd think. It's just 64 mentioned 6 years which sounded like an extension

There are only 30 days in June 😁, but yes, new 4 year deal 1st July 2026 to 30th June 2030 as I see it.

Very glad he is staying, our most important player. Hope the club shared their planned recruitment for this summer with him as a means of asking him to stay .
Leeds need a great summer 2026 with outgoings and incoming players

I agree. Gruev has has some great games for us and is an excllent squad player at PL level. I really hope we keep him. Farke seems to be a fan and he is clearly enjoying his time in Leeds.

Frankly, if I had to choose, I'd rather lose Gnonto than Gruev - especially if we can sign another stiker and a creative playmaker in midfield.

Yes, he's great value at twice that in my book. He has the sort of leadership qualities Billy B epitomized. Its no coincidence he was the players choice for player of the year.

Wasnt he Farke's first signing for us?
So manager and captain are totally aligned. That's worth gold.
