Different role for him this season. V Forest he was our most influential defender with more defensive actions than anyone else. If Tanaka keeps playing then we should see Stach from last season rather than Stach in a DMF role

Good for Anton, well done that man. Comes across as a good guy, and the sort of guy you want in your squad. I'm sure he is highly thought of by the rest of the squad. Not had as good a start as im sure he wanted and we wanted but plenty of time for him to get back to doing what he does well.

People forget the mental side of an injury, it can take a while to become fully confident the injury doesn't happen again. Particularly ACL/MCL/PCL tears, ankles and hamstring injuries.

It's why I'm not expecting Joseph back this season and why it might take Rodon longer than 8 games/weeks

Agree with that Sub. There is always the tendency to protect the injury - which ironically can make the player more prone to get injured as he hesitates.
Joe may be an exception - he seems to bounce back quickly - we can only hope. I tend to feel his injury this time was in part due to him trying the wingback role and sprinting down the wing. He can do it but you can see it isn't natural for him.

Jayden Daniels dislocated his elbow last November and wasn't able to play until our first game against the Eagles.

We lost a close fought match and JD5 would in the past have been raging at the defeat. But, when interviewed he just said he felt happy and relieved to have completed the game.

He then had the terrible luck against Dallas to have another freak incident and fell on the same elbow and dislocated it again.

So, Washington are now in a position where he has two years left on his rookie contract. Ideally we want him back on the field to see if he can stay injury free.

As things stand, he's very unlikely to get a franchise contract, due to his injuries. So, Washington have to decide if it's worth committing our future to a generational talent, whose injury prone.

Or do we reset yet again and look to tank and invest in a less talented, but more durable QB?

We are all devastated by this bad luck, and nobody more than Jayden himself, as his potentially great career is at risk.

DQ will be sacked in January, and deservedly so. AP's roster build has failed spectacularly, so he may also be hoofed. And all of this has been triggered by Jayden Daniels left elbow

I was worried for Penix last night, I'm a big fan and he seemed to get rushed back after the injury last year, Reinjuring an injury like Daniels did seems poor player management. I don't think he had the Tommy John surgery last year after the dislocation as non throwing arm. He probably should have had it..So much talent, get him fit again and someone will benefit.. But he probably needs to have the surgery and reset next season. He should at least be cheaper to extend.

I'm a fan of Luke McCaffrey so seeing him as inactive is a bit of a surprise. Anyway wrong thread I guess
