We are another animal with Rodrigo in the side.

Him and Bamford linking up well could be the key for us.

Has to be one of the first on the team sheet for me.

Look as fit as butchers dog to me, we can't continue to leave our class players our of the starting line-up

I reckon Bielsa played Dallas in the centre to shore up our midfield & give us more defensive cover after those two heavy defeats

Rodrigo has already shown that he's a really classy player.

He has pace, intelligence, great touch, can hold the ball up, brings other players in and you can see the determination to succeed written all over his face.

He's one of those players like Pablo who really sets your pulse racing when he receives the ball.

Fantastic acquisition and a talisman of the new Leeds United :ok:

Agree. I think he's an automatic now. Pretty sure it was just the covid and stamina that put him on the bench on Sunday.

First of all congrats to all for the win today. I was really expecting Rodrigo to start the second half today, but at same time I felt no-one deserved to be subbed. First time I felt that Bielsa wasn’t sure of what to do and and then the goal came and probably made his decision easier.

I really hope everything is fine between Bielsa and Rodrigo. I know I might sound odd, but it’s very important to have Rodrigo in starting eleven if he is fully fit. He is an international player, a level above the rest and a looks looks like a genuine like-able guy.

May still be a covid issue, there's a few AF players that have had it and found it hard to get 100% fit again.

People in general who'd had covid & are in the recovery process says it leaves them feeling tired & fatigued

Injuries aside ... You can only start 11 men a game... and there will be times like today where it is hard to break the rythum in a closely contested game...1-0 away is an excellent result in the prem, no one wants to sit on the bench... this is really where the "Side before Self" attitude comes into play... We cannot fault MB's starting line up today.

I have my heart in my mouth whenever Rodrigo tries to help out our defenders, only a matter of time before he concedes another penalty :|

And antother thing, after his covid-19 sufferings, he seems a bit slower than before. But that could be my wrong judgement.

But apart from that he is class on the field, very likeable guy as well and always smiling.

When he took his goal he had made a great run from deep. He often dropped back deep during the game. It's more like he's playing as an attacking midfielder now rather than a false no 9. We need that, as against Man U we virtually had no midfield. When Bamford often drifts wide to the right, and takes his marker with him, it creates space for Rodrigo.

Scored both goals in the u23 win vs Wolves.

Looks like he will be back for West Ham and so will Poveda (not KP i assume as he didnt play).

Hopefully Rodrigo can show thus sort of shooting ability for the senior side, hasnt done badly but needs to show more end product (only 3 goals and 1 assist so far).

Look at way Rodrigo moved away from the pack to receive the ball, a class above today & hopefully v West Ham along with Raphinha of course.

Rodrigo looked good, and saw him play some intelligent passes after picking the ball up deep and driving forward. Did make one poor back-heel pass that would have given us all kittens in a first team game against good opposition, but that was the only poor thing I could pick out of his half of game time.

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him leave in the summer if we can get £20mil or so for him.

Doesnt seem to fit the system or be what MB wants in midfield or as a striker.

Its very concerning imo because while the quality is there it never looks quite right to me wherever Rodders is.

His international future must be under threat also and the Spanish media have been quite scathing about his time.here.

Did the club make another costly error?

Wrong player for the system?

Or perhaps simply the wrong Rodrigo? £30mil for the one we got or £5mil more for the one we needed?
