Not far off ... 20 I think with Gruev playing for the 21's, Rodon injured and you don't want Cairns in the matchday squad

Me an'all Finn. A very unnecessary goal to give away. Sitting back like that just doesn't work.

Fully deserving win for Leeds this Men against boys, maybe Eddie wasn't so bad afterall 🤔 that said i think Matthias Jaissle is a great young coach but it really makes no difference who was walking into Newcastle once Eddie left.

Annoying to think we had Anderson and Minteh who Anderson is now at the heart of city's midfield and Minteh is wanted by Liverpool.

You seriously have to ask do the Premier League want competition to the big 6 ?

Matthias Jaissle has done a good job if he can finish in top 10.

After losing Bruno Guimarães, Sandro Tonali,Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak,Elliott Anderson,Yankuba Minteh.

The Heart has been truly ripped out of Newcastle.

Toure just scored but really not deserved.

No, but we get an extra one to equalise it.

Overall great performance

First time this season we've looked convincing overall

Will ignore the late goal we conceded from that (annoying though)

Thought Farke got it right going Stach/Tanaka not trying to shoehorn In Aaronson or Wilson.

Tarik was immense and made 2 really important defensive contributions.

Bogle had his best game for ages as did Gudmundsson and Okafor and Calvert-Lewin took the goals well

Pleased by and large.

Don't think we will see Bohoya though which is a shame, his pecking order position seems fixed as tonight was ideal

And Trafford looked very dodgy with the ball at his feet

whiteswan wrote: Mon Sep 14, 2026 8:50 pm It serves us right. Pi++ing about with the ball instead if attacking. Why don't we ever learn. I just posted that we were passing back and back from our own penalty area for goodness sake!!!
Ever since the substitutes came on we have stopped trying to attack and gone more defensive, but at four up that's nothing too drastic as the game is already won.

Brilliant result and first half performance tonight though, well done to the team.

I think what tonight shows though is that with our first choice 11 on the pitch we are going to be a handful for most sides but there is a noticeable drop off in our performance when the "second choice" players come on. Let's hope Bahoya is given a chance to show what he can do, SOMETIME, and that he proves to be as good as the first choice players and then becomes the first choice substitute rather than the usual suspect!!

8 Points and more or less quarter the way to safety already. I think the bar will be low this season.

Good all round performance by all the starters, some key take-aways:

1. Bogle and Tanaka absolutely immense, though half a point off for Tanaka nearly giving a goal away.
2. Trafford, first game where he has looked a bit nervy with the ball at his feet. Not sure what was going on there other than not reading the press as well as he should.
3. Gudds was back to his tenacious self and seemed to have some pace. Think he may have felt his hammy a bit as I saw him limp a little and touch it with his hand. One to watch.
4. The Justin/Bogle RCB/RB combination looks pretty good in the absence of Rodon.
5. Okafor put in a very decent shift tonight and was a great outball. Good to see him back doing defending work, even if he did try to dribble it instead of clearing.
6. Bard put a couple of decent attacking tackles in.
7. Like Sub, half a point off for Farke for not using this dominant 4-0 position to give us a look at Bahoya. If not now, when? Going to be another one to waste away on the bench.

All the underlying XG stats suggested Newcastle were lucky to be unbeaten before tonight. Don’t see them as potential relegation candidates though.

Brilliant performance, so hairy moments from Trafford with his kicking but we bullied them all over the park.

Bogle was superb, but they all had great games.

Thanks DF for another great memory.
