We have to manage our players. Stach back from injury not played in weeks is gonna be running on fumes, looked tired a lot earlier than when he was taken off. So we don't have like for like well heck just gotta use what we have in the squad.

Just a very scruffy goal to concede, apart from that we defended pretty well and carried our own threat, we had the better chances even though we were penned in during the second half.

Pardon me, I've been out all day since the game ended and now I'm in a bit of a mood. Plus, I'm drinking some excellent American IPA's. But some of you negative Nellies need to chill the f**k out!! About 95% of us would have been happy with a point on the road at Villa. Most of us said as much during the week leading up to the match. Do any of. you not see the bigger picture? Just in case it eludes you, the bigger picture is survival. And a point away serves that mission well. So to all of you that can't seem to remember that, just piss off!!

The main aim is survival, but in that first Bielsa PL season it so happened that we ended up 9th. Why limit the ambition ? Things change, and people should adapt as things unfold. The higher the finishing position, the more the club earns.

I believe that we could get just inside the top 10 - but to do that we probably need to learn the lessons from drawing or losing from 11 winning positions in all competitions this season. DF couldn't hide his disappointment when he was interviewed yesterday, so why the hell should fans be expected to react differently ? IMO there are too many thought policemen on here. Let people have their views without shaming them.

Had we held on yesterday, then we would have been 3 points off Newcastle in 10th, with easier games coming up late in the season. I just don't get this " all we should care about is surviving " attitude. It has been a great run of just 2 defeats in 14 games, but have fans become so accustomed to failure over the years that they can only countenance the club scraping by in the PL ? It's 25 years now since the club achieved its highest ever PL position of 3rd under O'Leary, and it doesn't half show.

We voted against by the way because setting salary against income is problematic for the "poorer" sides, puts us at a disadvantage plus we don't have anyone we can sell for a good price this year.. Might get a few quid for some of the unused bench players

TBH I though a number of our championship players were prem quality, I said so in the pre season polls. Of the new arrivals, only Stach and DCL have improved the quality of that championship side...

I think we're maybe 7/8 points behind where we should be, away form poor in terms of points and we're still in the relegation zone albeit it's gonna take a good run from West Ham to threaten that...

Perhaps Emery looked down his bench and decided that among all of his options Tammy's thighs had the ideal form and height to cushion a random header and volley a perfectly weighted lob over DCL. He might be that good.

All four have made good conributions, not great but decent at times, without them we'd earned fewer points than we currently have in the bank.

Along with Pascal, Bijol is currently our top-rated defender on season ratings.

Bijol, Justin & Bogle are a bigger goal threat than the rest of our defenders.
